Introduction:

Founder / Design Director of Kieferzapfen Design (Shanghai / Berlin)

Founder / Chief Designer of designer brand YAANG life

Co-founder of the multi-media sensory culture space Liangshe

As a well-known cross-border designer in China, Wang Yang has won the German IF Product Design Award and many other awards. She has also collaborated with many international brands, such as Swarovski, Zwilling, Disney, H & M, ELLE, Van Cleef & Arpels, etc. The designer brand YAANG Life, founded by Wang Yang, has become the most influential and representative original home decor brand in China.

Wang Yang graduated from the high school affiliated to the China Academy of Art, and earned her BFA degree in figure drawing from the Chinese Painting Department of the China Academy of Art. In 2000, she went to Germany, where she lived and worked in Hamburg and Berlin for a long time. During her time there, she held several solo exhibitions and participated in various art design projects.

At the end of 2006, Wang Yang returned to China and founded Kieferzapfen Design, insisting on providing integrated products and space design solutions for customers with an original design attitude. In 2007, she founded her independent designer brand YAANG Life. The brand provides all kinds of original furniture, household appliances, lamps and other daily necessities, dedicated to bringing people a great life experience that is full of surprises.

In 2018, Wang Yang co-established a multi-media sensory cultural space, Liangshe. The project is based on the concept of the prosperous Tang dynasty and integrates traditional Chinese culture, food, music, dance, theatre and modern multi-media forms. Through the intersection of art and technology, the six senses of "eyes, ears, nose, tongue, body and mind" are recreated to construct a profound and subtle sensory and conceptual experience. By combining avant-garde culinary creativity with high-tech methods and visuals and music, Liangshe provides users with an unspeakable ultimate enjoyment and sensory experience.

With her many years of experience in Europe, Wang Yang has formed a diversified and open mind. She tries to convey the designer's own traditional oriental spirit and contemporary lifestyle through her products in the form of Western fashion and luxury. She expresses her personal design philosophy and taste of life through the use of language and form that are both familiar and unfamiliar to the public.

Many of Wang Yang's design works have been collected by major art galleries and museums. A large number of domestic and international magazines, newspapers and TV stations have interviewed and covered Wang Yang and her designs.
